The Mental Health Association of Monmouth County has launched its new Housing Supports Program to help individuals and families enrolled in New Jersey Managed Care Organizations (MCOs) through NJ FamilyCare secure and maintain safe, stable housing. The program offers person-centered, trauma-informed services tailored to each member’s unique housing needs.
The Housing Supports Program provides support throughout every stage of the housing journey—from pre-tenancy assistance with housing searches, applications, documentation, and financial planning, to ongoing tenancy-sustaining services such as budgeting, daily living skills, rental arrears support, and connection to community resources. By combining skill-building with coordinated care, the program promotes long-term stability and independence for Monmouth County residents at risk of homelessness.
“With homelessness in Monmouth County rising nearly 40% since 2024, many residents are facing increasing challenges in finding and keeping stable housing,” said Quanasia Foster, PATH and Housing Supports Program Manager. “Our Housing Supports Program meets people where they are—providing the guidance, stability, and advocacy needed to ensure individuals and families can secure and maintain a safe place to call home.”
“Stable housing is more than shelter; it’s the foundation for independence,” added Ewa Farry, Senior Director of Community-based Services. “Through coordinated care, budgeting support, and tenancy-sustaining services, we are empowering individuals to overcome barriers and build a future they can be proud of.”
The Housing Supports Program is available to individuals and families enrolled in a New Jersey MCO through NJ FamilyCare who are experiencing homelessness or are at risk of losing their housing. Members receive flexible, individualized support designed to strengthen housing stability and overall wellness. For more information, visit Housing Supports Program.
