The Mental Health Association of Monmouth County is proud to announce that it has been awarded a 2025 Gold Bell Seal for Workplace Mental Health by Mental Health America. The Bell Seal is the nation’s preeminent certification recognizing employers committed to creating mentally healthy workplaces. MHA Monmouth is the first organization in Monmouth County to achieve this certification, joining four others across New Jersey.
Mental Health America, the nation’s leading community-based nonprofit dedicated to promoting mental health, well-being, and illness prevention, has spent decades researching mental health in the workplace. In 2019, it introduced the Bell Seal for Workplace Mental Health to distinguish organizations that prioritize and implement policies supporting employee mental health and well-being.
The Bell Seal recognizes employer advances in workplace mental health by awarding Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum. Only two in five employers meet the standards for Bell Seal certification. MHA Monmouth underwent a rigorous evaluation of its policies and practices in four areas: workplace culture, benefits, compliance, and wellness programs.
“Gaining status as a Gold Bell Seal-certified organization reflects our values and commitment to our staff’s wellness,” said Achille Dejean, Executive Director at MHA Monmouth. “We’re proud to foster a culture that supports holistic wellness and provides our team with the resources they need to succeed.”
This recognition reaffirms MHA Monmouth’s dedication to prioritizing mental well-being in the workplace. The organization will continue enhancing policies and initiatives that support employees at every level.
