The Mental Health Association of Monmouth County is proud to announce the return of its third annual Be YourSELF: Creative Arts & Expression Showcase on Friday, May 16, 2025. This inspiring community event invites middle and high school students and their families to a night of creativity, encouragement, and unity through the arts.

Hosted at Bell Works in Holmdel, NJ, Be YourSELF is designed to celebrate youth, families, and the importance of mental well-being. The evening will feature a variety of artistic performances, interactive creative activities, and mental health resources. Attendees will enjoy creative vendor booths, a photo booth, t-shirt design station, and other engaging activities. Refreshments will be provided, and swag bags will be available for those who attend.

Young artists and performers are encouraged to sign up to showcase their talents, whether through music, visual arts, spoken word, or other creative expressions. All talents are welcome to participate.

“Events like ‘Be YourSELF’ offer young people a space to creatively express themselves while reinforcing the vital connection between art and mental health,” said Erin Murphy, LPC, Senior Director of Clinical Services at the Mental Health Association of Monmouth County. “We are incredibly grateful for our partnership with the Society for the Prevention of Teen Suicide, YMCA of Greater Monmouth County, and the Monmouth County Department of Human Services for making this event possible. We also extend our heartfelt thanks to Bell Works for providing us with a welcoming and inspiring venue to celebrate our community’s youth.”

This event is made possible through a suicide prevention grant from the Monmouth County Department of Human Services, awarded to the Mental Health Association of Monmouth County in collaboration with the Society for the Prevention of Teen Suicide and YMCA of Greater Monmouth County.
