The Mental Health Association of Monmouth County is pleased to announce its fourth annual Layers of Wellness winter clothing drive, taking place from Monday, November 17, 2025, through Friday, January 9, 2026.
This year’s drive will once again benefit Soldier On, a nonprofit organization dedicated to ending veteran homelessness. Through this collaboration—the second year partnering with Soldier On—MHA aims to meet the basic needs of local veterans while ensuring they have access to vital mental health support.
“We are so honored as an agency to continue this initiative, connecting community members and partners with those in need as we approach the winter months,” said Marie Argibay-Boccasino, Information & Referral, Mental Health Association of Monmouth County. “This collaboration of caring organizations reflects the true meaning of community—providing essential items and resources, addressing the challenges of isolation and loneliness, and supporting mental wellness, particularly for those who are or have experienced homelessness.”
The Layers of Wellness drive is accepting new adult winter apparel, footwear, accessories, and other essentials, including gloves, scarves, hats, socks, boots, pajamas, and blankets. Donations can be dropped off at MHA’s main office, located at 106 Apple Street, Suite 110, Tinton Falls, NJ 07724.
"On behalf of the veterans we serve, Soldier On extends heartfelt thanks to the Mental Health Association of Monmouth County for their unwavering commitment to our community," said Bruce Buckley, CEO & President, Soldier On. "The Layers of Wellness Drive not only provides essential winter clothing, but also reminds our veterans that they are valued and supported. This partnership makes a real difference in the lives of those who have served, helping them feel seen, respected, and cared for."
Each year, MHA partners with a local nonprofit serving a vulnerable population within Monmouth County, providing essential winter items alongside comprehensive mental health resources. To date, the Layers of Wellness initiative has donated approximately 300 bags of clothing to local organizations.
