Lifelines is an evidence-based, best-practice program in Suicide Postvention, Intervention, and Prevention. It is designed to build competent, caring school communities equipped to respond to youth suicide and traumatic loss. The curriculum engages the entire school community—including administrators, faculty, staff, parents, and students—and is adaptable for schools from Pre-K through 12th grade.

Professional development and training materials equip school staff with tools to identify, respond to, and refer students who may be at risk for suicide.
Parent Engagement
Presentations and resources designed to inform and involve parents in the school’s suicide prevention efforts, reinforcing a community-wide approach.
Postvention Planning
Training and support for school crisis teams to develop policies, procedures, and plans for suicide and other traumatic deaths, helping promote a safe, trauma-informed environment.

Program Eligibility Requirements
Lifelines is available to Monmouth County schools interested in implementing comprehensive suicide response and prevention initiatives. Training and support are provided to school staff to facilitate successful program integration and sustainability.
